ASSESSMENTS

At DPSG Fbd, the assessment of learning is a systematic process of documenting and utilizing the data of the acquired knowledge, skills, attitudes and beliefs of the learners and further refining the programs to improve student learning.

Assessment data can be obtained directly by examining and observing the work of a student to assess the achievement of learning outcomes.

Classroom based assessment has immense potential to enhance student learning. When assessment is designed with purpose in mind, learning for all students can holistically improve their growth and development.

Assessment is generally used interchangeably with test, but it is not confined to tests. Assessment in the broader sense focuses on the individual learner (student), the learning community (class, workshop, or other organized group of learners), a course, an academic program, an institution/ school, or the complete education system as a whole.

As a continuous process, assessment establishes student learning outcomes that are measurable and clear, creates provision for sufficient amount of learning opportunities to achieve these outcomes, implements a systematic way to gather, analyze and interpret evidence to determine how well the learning matches expectations, and utilizes the collected information constructively for improvement in student learning.
