DPSG focuses on the holistic approach and development of key life skills, emphasizing on learning outside the normal academic boundaries . The IB PYP Exhibition is a culminating learning experience in the final year of the International Baccalaureate PYP which is Grade 5. It is a collective involvement of the IB community that engages students in an in-depth inquiry and provides them with an opportunity to demonstrate independence and responsibility for their own learning. Grade 5 being the final year of the culmination of learning experience the young learners embarked on their journey from Grade 1. Involving self reflection, collaboration, inquiry, action and presentation to an audience PYP exhibition is a celebration of the child’s knowledge and skills throughout their PYP experience.

The PYP exhibition is a complex process with its roots in the values and beliefs about learning that underpin the PYP. The exhibition is intended to be a collaborative and student-led, in-depth inquiry during which students can demonstrate agency and take responsibility for their own learning. In the academic year 2019-20 students of Grade 5 at DPSG, inquired into Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) laid by the United Nations. The PYP exhibition allowed students to explore multiple perspectives on these Sustainable Development Goals by interacting and researching with mentors around the globe to gather relevant information and synthesize and apply their learning to reflect on their journey.

The primary wing of DPSG organized the PYP Exhibition on 16th February 2019 where the students of grade five integrated art with the unit on sustainable development [ 17 SDG ]. Providing a platform for students to display the skills, attitudes and behaviors developed throughout their schooling experience in the IB PYP students demonstrated independence and responsibility for their own learning. All the artifacts made by the students were aesthetically displayed in the primary wing. Through various learning engagements the students inspired everyone to adopt the 5 R’s and to go zero waste. The thought provoking Nukkad Natika gave a very powerful message on living a sustainable life. The students honed their skills under the able guidance of their facilitators which boosted their morale .The old t-shirts were creatively utilized to depict the sustainable development goals. The selfie corner inspired the parents to make a conscious effort to understand the need of the hour. The spectators praised the students for their innovative artwork.



The Annual Exhibition, SAMANVAY held on 16th February focussed on ingraining a scientific and creative attitude in the young learners of Primary Wing to make them comprehend the interdependence of science, technology and creative arts by a hands- on experience. The chief guest Mr. Naresh Kumar Kumawat ,a renowned fine art sculptor artist inaugurated the show.

Everything in nature is made up of five basic elements, understanding and experiencing this thought students designed a variety of exhibits using clay, wood. cloth, paper and glass. The budding artists manifested their products in different medium with a variety of colors. The exhibition aimed to engage children and teachers to synergise experiences and motivate each other to design and develop something novel. Hundreds of displays dotted several sections of School with participation ranging from classes Nursery to IV. The young artists from pre-nursery till grade four worked dexterously with clay, old books, newspapers, magazines, fabric and metamorphosed them into unison of colors and came up with articles like candle stands, paper bags ,jute bags, cushions etc. which were par excellence. These fabulous exhibits were the fusion of tradition and transition. Varied art and skills developed and promoted in SUPW period over the year were showcased in the exhibition.

Each corridor became a celebration as budding artists warmly beckoned visitors to stop by and visit their creations.

AI- Enabled SEWA Program for Students

It’s a matter of great pride that Delhi Public School Ghaziabad is one of the few schools shortlisted for the prestigious CBSE AI-Enabled SEWA Program. A workshop for the students of classes IX -XII was conducted in two sessions by IBM trained experts in the school campus. It gave an opportunity to the students to be innovative and creative. Three Teams of students from each of the selected school will be provided hands-on -training and mentoring by IBM experts for advanced prototype development and on ground implementation of projects, through a 5-stage process. In the final stage, the top forty students from across the schools will be selected for Capstone Project which will be showcased at various national and international forums.

The first Saturday of December unfurled the creative skills in one and all at DPSG, Meerut Road. The school organised an Inter School Competition – Creatal on December7, 2019. The aim of the competition was to encourage and motivate the young learners towards the sustainable development as well as to eradicate poverty and deepen sustainability, to build a better future for all. The events were designed with the sole objective of making the 21st century learners aware of SDGs outlining the priorities for a more prosperous, fair and sustainable world.

Various honourable dignitaries from different fields gratified the occasion with their benign presence. The event commenced with a ceremony where all the participating schools were welcomed and the rules of the competitions were explicitly explained.

The competition was a fusion of talent, imagination, creativity and alertness. Spontaneity and confidence were the hallmark of the entire event. The active participation of around 330 students left everyone awestruck as the budding artists presented their talents in diverse events so immaculately and effortlessly. The day saw creativity overflowing in every sphere from art to enactment, from hat making to news presenters, from Stemazing to IT and a lot more.

IPS Debate (2019)

Delhi Public School Ghaziabad, in collaboration with HT PACE, organized the 29th Inter Public School (IPS) English Debate. This hotly contested debate on the topic Permanent Membership is the cause of the UN ‘s Failure saw participation of 20 schools from Delhi NCR.

Mr Shesh Narain Singh, Political Editor of the Hindi newspaper ‘Deshbandhu’ was the Chief Guest. Dr VINEET PRAKASH, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science, Dyal Singh Evening College, University of Delhi Sadhika Tiwari, Senior Correspondent with Go News 24x7 and Ms Ishita Blest judged the contestants.

Dhruv Banerjee of Selaqui International Dehradun was adjudged the Best Speaker. Mallika Luthra of DPS Indirapuram was the second speaker and Jaya Shekhar of DPS Greater Noida bagged the third position. Aditi Kundu of Jaipuria Public School was the Best Interjector. The coveted Cicero running trophy was lifted by Selaqui International Dehradun.

5th Inter School IT Fest- INFINITUS

‘Competition gives us energy and keeps us focused.’

Information technology is interweaved in every sphere of our existence, realizing its importance Delhi Public School Ghaziabad organized the 5th INTER SCHOOL IT FEST- INFINITUS on 11th October, 2019 on the theme ‘Cloud Computing – today and beyond’. The event saw the participation from various reputed schools from Delhi and NCR. Prof. Ashiv Shah, the Head of Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College-TIFAC CORE was the Chief Guest.

The Mega event commenced with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony followed by welcome of the guests. The enthusiastic participants unfurled their abilities and won accolades by participating in various IT competitions. The Chief Guest appreciated the efforts of the school for acquainting the children with Cloud Computing. The overall trophy was bagged by DPSG Meerut Road but being the host school it was handed over to DPSG Vasundhra. DPS Rajnagar Extension secured the overall runners up trophy.

SANGAM- A Multitude of Languages

Delhi Public School Ghaziabad hosted an Inter School Mega Event SANGAM- A Multitude of Languages 2019-20 Competition-cum-Fest on May 4, 2019. Twelve schools from Ghaziabad participated in different competitions held in Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Spanish and Sanskrit. Various events like Ramp walk (Sub- Junior Group), Umbrella Painting (Junior Group) and Quiz Competition (Senior Group) were held. The competition for Sanskrit language was Ramp walk for Sub- Junior Group and Shlok Gayan for the remaining 2 categories. The competitions highlighted the efforts made by each school which was evident in the quality of presentations and participation of students. This event provided an opportunity to the students to explore and unleash their latent talents.

NYS Achievement

Students of Primary Wing team won “First Prize” in the final round of Pan India Level Competition conducted at Zee TV Studio for Nurturing Young seeds- an initiative of Essel Group. The Mission of this new venture is to uncover the timeless potential of each and every child in India and the World. It has designed and launched a number of innovative programs for school going kids. Under the program, a school level competition was organized wherin students were given various topics of Social Entrepreneurship.

World Scholar Cup

Students from Secondary Wing participated in the Regional Round of World Scholar’s Cup. The team won 26 medals and 5 trophies and qualified for the Global round. They secured second position and won the Champion Team trophy. The students not only excelled in team rounds but also won individual medals.

  • Varalika Singh, XB won 8 gold medals and 5 silver medals. She also won overall Student Trophy.
  • Raghav Katyal, XE won 7 gold medals and 1 silver medal.
  • Vanshh Sharma, IXA won 5 gold medals and 1 silver medal.
