CAS (Creativity, Activity and Service), is one of the core requirements for the IB Diploma Programme.

Students are involved in a range of different activities along with the academics over a period of two years. Successful completion of CAS is a requirement for the award of the IB diploma.

Through CAS, students continue to strengthen the approaches to learning they encounter and develop in the IB Primary years and IB Middle Years. In approaches to learning, students are encouraged to grow both personally and socially, developing skills such as cooperation, problem-solving, conflict resolution and creative and critical thinking, as well as developing their own identities. CAS continues to develop students’ ability to engage in critical reflection, offering increasingly sophisticated opportunities for students to analyse their own thinking, effort and performance. Students also learn how to set challenging goals and develop the commitment and perseverance to achieve them.

CAS emphasizes reflection which is central to building a deep and rich experience in CAS. Reflection informs students’ learning and growth by allowing students to explore ideas, skills, strengths, limitations and areas for further development and consider how they may use prior learning in new contexts.

The emphasis is on learning and includes an expectation that students will be involved in a balanced range of activities reflecting creativity, action and service within this program. IB students are also expected to take on leadership roles and are encouraged to initiate activities of their own. (Ref. CAS curriculum guide)

Creative Activities include programmes such as Drama productions, Music ensembles, and other leadership opportunities such as Model United Nations and Student Council and playing an active role in Literary club, Environmental club , Student welfare club etc.. These engagements compliment the work that is done as part of the regular academic curriculum in the Arts.

Physical Action: The IB students participates in competitions with international schools in the region belonging to International Board Schools Sports organisation (IBSSO) and TAISI Sports Meet. In addition , School prepares teams for Swimming, Basketball, Tennis, Table Tennis, Soccer/Football and Cricket for Inter and Intra school competitions

Community Service is integral to our philosophy of holistic education and emphasize an awareness, concern and responsibility for service in the community. Every student is expected to be involved in some way and a range of projects meet weekly to work towards their goals. School has adopted two village schools runs for underprivileged students where in IB students teach and spend some quality time with the students as a part of their community service.
