         Say No to Plastics

 DPSG, one of the leading schools in Ghaziabad took a great initiative in propagating the idea, ‘Say No to Plastics’ by distributing jute bags to around 6000 students in an event which was graced by Mr Dinesh Chandra, Municipal Commissioner of Ghaziabad. The honourable guest lauded the exemplary work being done by the school for preservation of the environment.



The technophiles of DPSG once again made their school proud by bagging 2nd position and a cash prize of INR 1100 at Indraprastha Engineering College in the  Innovative Product Prototype Making Competition on the topic ‘Design Thinking’.

The students of DPSG are well aware that one’s manners - language, behavior, and actions are measured against their values and principles. The youth brigade of the  school focuses on personal effectiveness, making right choices to lead their life that aligns with the core values of the school in the most purposeful way possible and a testimony to this is the stupendous performance by Sneha Gupta and Sanya Tyagi of class XI at Chinmaya Youth Festival 2019. Sneha Gupta bagged the III position in extempore competition whereas Sanya Tyagi received a standing ovation as group leader in panel discussion.

AI- Enabled SEWA Program for Students 

 It’s a matter of great pride that Delhi Public School Ghaziabad is one of the few schools shortlisted for the prestigious CBSE AI-Enabled SEWA Program.   A workshop for the students of classes IX -XII was conducted in two sessions by IBM trained experts in the school campus. It gave an opportunity to the students to be innovative and creative. Three Teams of students from each of the selected school will be provided hands-on -training and mentoring by IBM experts for advanced prototype development and on ground implementation of projects, through a 5-stage process.  In the final stage, the top forty students from across the schools will be selected for Capstone Project which will be showcased at various national and international forums.

DPSG always believes in providing the students with opportunities for myriad career choices as per their interest and stream of academics and regularly invites professionals from various walks of life to the school for counselling sessions and workshops. Furthering the endeavor, the school invited Mr. Raghavendra Rathore, celebrated Indian Fashion and Interior Designer with a team of Gurukul School of Design and representatives from Edu TV on 4th October 2019 for an interactive session with the student community. The invigorating session saw the participation of students from reputed schools of NCR as well. Speaking to the students, the ace designer Mr. Raghavendra Rathore, guided the students about how it is imperative to develop social skills, visual imagination & knowledge of market trends in tandem with dreams envisioned. Answering the queries of the students Mr. Rathore emphasized the fact that the world is shifting base and how technology is changing the way we understand spaces and designs. Focusing on the versatility of the field, he gave many useful and essential tips to the students which will go a long way in helping students explore their creative domains.

Delhi Public School Ghaziabad organized the 5th INTER SCHOOL COMMERCE FEST- VANIJYA MAHOTSAV 2019.

The Chief Guest on the occasion was Mr. Anil Kumar Upadhyay, a renowned Financial Educator and a faculty with BSE. A plethora of competitions were conducted which saw the enthusiastic participation of teams from various reputed schools of NCR. The high standard of entrepreneurial and innovative skills coupled with the confidence and creativity of the participants mesmerized guests and the judges. Delhi Public School Ghaziabad emerged as the overall champion but being the host school, the trophy was handed over to Seth Anandram Jaipuria,  Vasundhara, the first runner up team.

DPSGM Celebrates PM Modi’s Birthday

 Delhi Public School Ghaziabad celebrated the 69th birthday of the Hon’ble Prime Minister on September 17, 2019 by emulating his vision of making India a sustainable and self- sufficient economy. A special assembly was organized wherein a slew of measures was taken to conserve the environment. The programme commenced with an inspiring speech by  Principal, Dr Jyoti Gupta who in her address, highlighted the need to be sensitive and responsible citizens in order to save the earth from irreparable damage. She exhorted them to participate wholeheartedly in the initiatives taken by the school to save the revered Hindon river from further depletion by keeping the river bed and the surroundings clean. She also urged each student to save one litre of water per day and celebrate  their birthday by not only planting a sapling but also adopting and nurturing it.

The students exhibited their solidarity by taking a pledge to eliminate single use plastic and conserve water. The sentiment of the PM in creating a future of ‘waste to wealth’  found resonance in the school premises with the students joining hands in using jute bags and promised to sensitize their friends, family and neighbours about the need to do the same. The excitement of the students was palpable as they made posters, raised slogans for environment conservation and planted saplings. In all, the event was a huge success. 


Press Release-IPS Debate (2019) 

Delhi Public School Ghaziabad, in collaboration with HT PACE, organised the 29th  Inter Public School (IPS) English Debate. This hotly contested debate on the topic Permanent Membership is the cause of the UN ‘s Failure saw  participation of 20 schools from Delhi NCR. Mr Shesh Narain Singh, Political Editor of the Hindi newspaper ‘Deshbandhu’ was the Chief Guest. Dr VINEET PRAKASH, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science, Dyal Singh Evening College, University of Delhi Sadhika Tiwari, Senior Correspondent with Go News 24x7 and Ms Ishita Blest judged the contestants. Dhruv Banerjee of Selaqui International Dehradun was adjudged the Best Speaker. Mallika Luthra of DPS Indirapuram was the second speaker and Jaya Shekhar   of DPS Greater Noida  bagged the  third position. Aditi Kundu of Jaipuria Public School was the Best Interjector. The coveted Cicero running trophy was lifted by Selaqui International Dehradun.
