We urge you all to support our Hon’ble Prime Minister’s call for JANATA CURFEW on 22nd Mar 2020 from 7:00 am - 9:00 pm. 

The efforts put in by all of us on one day can go a long way in protecting our country from this pandemic.

We must also  ensure to make the loudest  clapping sound at 5.00 pm to show out respect  and to salute to the Public Servants and Medical Fraternity for their Brave Efforts and Never Say Die Attitude.

 The school joined the Live telecast of ‘Pariksha pe Charcha’ on  January 20, 2020. Students and staff members assembled in the senior auditorium to witness the live programme. Parents were also invited to watch the programme. The honourable Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi answered to the students’ queries and shared tips with them to ensure  that they take the upcoming board exams in a relaxed manner. He also urged the students to be confident and have faith in themselves.

Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony

With an aim to acknowledge the academic excellence of students, the Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony for the academic session 2018-19 was held at DPSG on 9th and 10th December 2019. The esteemed dignitaries to grace the ceremony on December 9, 2019 were Ms Asmita Lal, Chief Development Officer, Ghaziabad, Mr. Ravi Dutt, District Inspector of Schools, Ms Jyoti Kaushik Asst. DIOS and Mr Rohit Pathak, Director HR, DPSG Society. Mr Khalid Anjum, Sub Divisional District Magistrate, Ghaziabad and Ms. Niharika Pathak, Chairperson DPSGM were the dignitaries on 10th December . The programme began with the auspicious lighting of the lamp followed by felicitation of the scholars of one, three, six and seven years.

Principal Dr. Jyoti Gupta congratulated the proud winners and said that the school nurtures the students in such a way that they learn skills needed to thrive beyond school .The chief guests complimented the parents for their wards’ remarkable performance.

The programme concluded with the rendition of national anthem.

CREATAL 2019

The first Saturday of December unfurled the creative skills in one and all at DPSG, Meerut Road. The school  organised an Inter School Competition – Creatal on December7, 2019. The aim of the competition was to encourage and motivate the young learners towards the sustainable development as well as to eradicate poverty and deepen sustainability, to build a better future for all. The events were designed with the sole objective of making the 21st century learners aware of SDGs outlining the priorities for a more prosperous, fair and sustainable world.

Various honourable dignitaries from different fields gratified the occasion with their benign presence. The event commenced with a ceremony where all the participating schools were welcomed and the rules of the competitions were explicitly explained.

The competition was a fusion of talent, imagination, creativity and alertness. Spontaneity and confidence were the hallmark of the entire event. The active participation of around 330 students left everyone awestruck as the budding artists presented their talents in diverse events so immaculately and effortlessly. The day saw creativity overflowing in every sphere from art to enactment, from hat making to news presenters, from  Stemazing to IT and a lot more.

A friendly cricket match was organized between DPSG, Meerut Road and Heritage School, South Arica on 27th Nov 2019 at DPSG, Meerut Road. Heritage School won the toss and elected to bat first. It was a 40 over each match. Heritage scored 163 runs for loss of 10 wickets in 40 overs. Marco scored 54 Runs in 47 balls and Karlim scored 43 runs in 52 balls. Jatin from DPSG took 4 wickets in 8 overs and Anand took 3 wickets in 6 overs.

DPSG Meerut Road team was all out for 98 runs only. Arjun from DPSG scored 36 in 40 balls and Nikunj scored 22 runs in 30 balls. Hanco from Heritage school took 5 wickets in 5 overs.

Man of the match was Hanco for taking 5 wickets.

Heritage School, South Africa won the match by 65 runs.

 

It’s a matter of immense pride that out of around 1000 schools ranked across the country, Delhi Public School Ghaziabad has for the eight consecutive year, been ranked Number One Day School in Ghaziabad as per the Education World India School Rankings Survey, 2019-20. The school has also been ranked first in Academics at the National level.

 

This phenomenal success bears a testimony to the concerted and consistent efforts put in by all the dynamic stakeholders. What makes the achievement laudable is that the school has clinched the coveted spot by meeting the comprehensive survey parameters of assessment in all domains of pedagogy. This accolade has also given the school the strong conviction to stride forward assiduously and achieve many more milestones.

    

         CBSE NATIONAL TOPPERS FELICITATED BY SHRI YOGI ADITYANATH

In a felicitation ceremony held at Lucknow in  September 2019,  Shri Yogi Adityanath, Hon’ble Chief Minister of UP honoured the CBSE National Toppers of classes X  and XII   and the Principals of the toppers. It is a matter of great pride for all of us that our students , Hansika Shukla  and Ankur Maheshwari ( Class XII toppers)  and Nishita Singh (Class X topper) , were felicitated with a cash prize of Rs. 1 Lakh, a tablet and a Certificate of merit each while our Principal, Dr Jyoti Gupta was honoured with a memento of Goddess Saraswati for producing toppers.

Kathakali Performance by Guru Sadanam Krishnankutty and troupe

  Spic Macay is a priceless heritage which seeks to conserve and promote awareness about the rich and heterogeneous cultural tapestry of India amongst the youth of the country. Keeping up with this tradition, Delhi Public School Ghaziabad welcomed Guru Sadanam Krishnankutty, one of the most eminent exponents and gurus of Kathakali Dance, a major Classical Dance Tradition of Kerala. The students witnessed an enthralling performance by Guru Sadanam Krishnankutty. The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The graceful dance performance by the renowned guru left the students mesmerized.  His graceful movements, supple footwork and beautiful facial and eyes gestures left the young audience spell bound.              

It is a matter of great pride that our school has been honoured by the CBSE for its valuable contribution to the Diksha platform, the newest initiative by CBSE to synergize countrywide developments in the field of education by sharing their best practices and pedagogical innovations related to classroom teaching under a roof. By making comprehensive content and resource material available through Diksha in the form of recordings, subject material, the school has set a new milestone by being one of the pioneer schools across the country to contribute to such a unique and prestigious initiative.

 

Mr Rohit Pathak, HR Director, DPSG Society and Dr Jyoti Gupta, Principal of Delhi Public School Ghaziabad were felicitated by the Union Minister for Human Resource Development, Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal in a glittering ‘Teachers Award’ ceremony on 12th September, 2019. The event was also attended by the Minister of State, HRD, Mr. Sanjay Dhotre and the Secretary (School Education and Literacy), HRD, Ms. Rina Ray.

 

Teacher's Day Celebration 2019

Delhi Public School Ghaziabad Society hosted the annual Teachers’ Award Ceremony at Delhi Public School Ghaziabad, Meerut Road by felicitating the teachers for their meritorious service to the institution.  The event was graced by Mr. Om Pathak, Chairman DPSG Society, esteemed management members of Delhi Public School Ghaziabad Society and Principals of DPSG group of schools. The teachers and administrative staff were awarded gold and silver medals for their dedicated service of 25 years and 15 years respectively. The families of the awardees and the parents of the school appointees were also a part of the award ceremony. Awards such as these offer us the opportunity to say “thank you”, to the teachers who have been instrumental in making the DPSG flag of excellence flutter high.
