DPSG, SL in collaboration with Mindler Education Private Limited organized a webinar on “Stream Combination Wise Career Deep Dive” for the students of class XI on 8th December 2020. The resource person for the webinar was leading Career Counsellor Mr. Abhishek Gulati. The students were given the information and tips through a power point presentation regarding the latest careers in various streams. The students were given information on careers like Product Design, Flavour Chemistry, Robotics, Merchant Navy, Simulation Engineers, Architect & Town Planning, Aviation, Game Development, Ethical Hackers, Life Sciences, Genetics, Forensic Science, Environment Science, Clinical Research, Anthropology, Public Health Administration, Big Data Analytics, Digital Marketing, Actuarial Science, Distribution & Logistics, Museology and International Relations. Apart from these some other careers which do not require any specific stream were also shared with the students like Designing, Media & Mass Communication, Hotel Management, Civil Services, Law and Culinary Arts. Students’ queries were answered and all the required information weblinks were also given to the students. It was indeed a very informative and interactive session for students.

Sushant Lok in collaboration with Mindler Education Pvt. Limited organized a
career counseling session for class X students on 2nd December,2020
on ‘Understanding the Process behind Overseas Application.’ Through an interactive discussion, students
were acquainted with the different courses in the field of medicine,
management, finance, animation and the renowned universities in US, England,
Singapore, New Zealand, Australia, Netherlands and Germany providing these
courses. Consistent academic performance, participation in co-curricular
activities, internships and working for charity with NGO’s are highly
appreciated by the foreign universities. Some of the best universities like the
Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University,
University of British Columbia, McGill
University and University of Waterloo provide merit based
scholarship for higher education. The queries of the audience were answered by
the host citing examples which made the session a lively event.
Menstrual Health Education is the need of the hour as lack of education about menstruation is one of the major barriers to achieving menstrual hygiene in India and worldwide. To sensitize the students and create awareness about Menstrual Health & Hygiene, DPSG Sushant Lok in collaboration with Unicharm India organised a session on this issue for girls, mothers, and female faculty on 20th November 2020 for classes VI to XII. Ms. Ankita Sukhwal, the CSR Executive at Unicharm was the resource person for the session. The aim of the session was to prepare women and adolescent girls to improve their knowledge on Menstrual Hygiene Management. The hygiene-related practices of females during menstruation are of great importance and need to be handled carefully, its repercussions were discussed at large. Emphasis was laid on sharing and caring among family members and friends during this period because girls and women go through various physical and emotional changes. The problems faced during menstruation, PCOD and PCOS were shared by the audience during the session and all the queries were satisfactorily answered. The session turned out to be enriching and informative for everyone present.
DPSG Sushant Lok organised an “Orientation Session” for parents and students of classes IX to XII on 3rd October,2020 to create awareness regarding the current trends in future career options. Mr. Prikshit Dhanda, an eminent Life and Career Coach, was the resource person for the session and Mr. Abhishek Gulati was the anchor. The session commenced with the resource person answering queries from the parents and students present in the session. The aim of the session was to ignite the students and parents on the multiple career options available with various subject combinations and importance of tapping into the power of internet for preparing for different exams. He guided the students to identify their interests and enhance their profiles by doing internship in content writing, start ups or NGO’s. The session was an eye opener for the audience as it discussed the careers options, universities in India and abroad, entrance exams, eligibility criteria for different courses and availability of resources on internet at large.
Choosing a career is one of the most important aspects of aduldhood, and embarking on a new career for the first time is chaotic and confusing. With new age career options picking up so fast, it becomes imperative to counsel the students at the right time. Keeping this in mind, DPSG Sushant Lok organised the third Virtual Career Counselling Session on “Domain wise Career” for students of class X on 8th October,2020.
The aim of the session was to give specific guidance to the students to outline and discuss their potentials and the career options available with different streams in the present scenario. Mr. Abhishek Gulati was the host for the session. Mr. Atin, the resource person for the session introduced the students to the trending careers with science, commerce and humanities stream. The session focused on sharing various career options with PCM stream in Engineering, Computer Applications &IT, Ethical Hacking, Aviation, Architecture, Merchant Navy, Product Design, Game Development, Robotics, Defence, Physical Sciences, and Flavour Chemistry. Students were encouraged to keep themselves abreast of coding,decoding and and latest development in technology as everything is in the process of digitilisation and ten to fifteen years from now the world will be digitalised. Students were exposed to distinctive careers as Sales, Marketing and Advertising, Entrepreneurship, Distribution & Logistics, Banking and Finance, Big Data Analytics, Sports Management, Supply Chain Management, Digital Marketing and the professional courses such as Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary, Actuarial Science and Chartered Financial Analyst available in commerce stream. The trending careers available in humanities stream like Design, Media & Mass Communication, Hospitality & Hotel Management, Civil Services, Law and Psychology were discussed at large. The basic takeaway of the session was that students with different streams have multidisciplinary career options available with them after completing their graduation. The session was interactive and provided valuable information on career options available for students in different streams based on their aptitude, skills, potential and interests.
