The students of DPSGV hosted an entertaining melody for the teachers, whom they have revered for years, on Teachers' Day.
The teachers were no less enthusiastic to not only participate in making merry in the revelry, but also exercised their sportsmanship in a friendly basketball match. The cheer leaders cheered their respective teams and thoroughly enjoyed the day.

The evening saw the felicitation of two teachers completing their 17 years of service. DPSGV is proud to congratulate Ms Jayati Mazumdar- Headmistress Jr Wing and Mr Jawahar Pandita- Purchase Officer for the same.

As the energy levels are always high in the teachers, the same culminated in a power packed performance by the teachers with 'Sholay Reloaded'.

A leader is not only a dealer in hope but also a visionary, a dreamer, an innovator, a mentor, an educator, an effective communicator and a facilitator. It has always been a constant endeavour at Delhi Public School Ghaziabad Vasundhara to nurture and mould such leaders who will pioneer their country and the world to newer heights of peace, progress and prosperity in the years to come. The Investiture ceremony for Grades IV to X, held on September 4, 2019, was not just a formal announcement of giving away the portfolios and responsibilities to the newly elected school council but also the belief that these young and passionate leaders would influence and inspire their peers to create more leaders. The selection of these students was based on their academic performance, creative abilities and assessment of their overall conduct, where they were marked for their organisational and leadership skills. The Chief Guest for this ceremony was Mr. Ashok Pandey, Principal, Ahlcon International School and Chairperson, Council for Global Citizenship Education. The ceremony unfurled with the prayer and invocation dance, followed by the announcement of the newly appointed school council who were administered the oath of office by the school Principal.

DPSGV celebrated its Investiture Ceremony on 3rd September, 2019. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Mr. Kishore Kumar Arya, Commandant Assistant in Delhi CPRF Head Quarters. He has been awarded the President Gallantry Award for operation in Pulwana Kashmir in April, 2016. He has vast experience of anti-military and anti naxal operations and has been showered with a lot of awards as Ketan Seva Padak, Antrik Suraksha Padak etc. The Chief Guest enlightened the budding leaders by citing a few of his personal experiences which no doubt were pearls of wisdom for the young leaders. He laid emphasis on how a leader has to be committed, courageous and accountable for every action he performs. He was no doubt a source of inspiration for all the aspirants.

The selection of students for the various posts was based on academic performance, leadership skills and other creative abilities.

The pledge was administered by the honorable Principal to the elected council following under various categories such as Sports Captain, IT Head, Cultural Captain, House Captain, Head Boy and Head Girl. The Principal too emphasized on the fact that Leadership is about holding responsibility with a cheerful heart and to hold yourself to the expectations of the school. He advised all the stakeholders to be the architects of the future and builders of a collective vision, thereby leaving behind a legacy for all to cherish.

The ceremony gave the parents a chance to develop a deeper appreciation for their children and greater respect for the school. The school extends its best wishes to the newly appointed prefectorial board.

DPSGV organised SPIC MACAY event on 30th April, 2019 to conserve and promote awareness of the rich cultural tapestry amongst the children through focus on classical arts. The guest of honour was a renowned Odissi dancer Padma Shri Madhvi Mudgal., accompanied by her two disciples; Ms Shobha Bisht and Ms Deepika Bisht along with Sh. Jitendra kumar Sai, Ms Mani Kuntala Bhaumik and Sh Yaar Mohd. The event started with the lighting of the lamp and the august dignitaries were welcomed by the chief guest of the day, Ms Leela Bist – HOD Hindi with an eco-friendly bouquet. The audience witnessed a spellbinding and graceful performance by the artists. It was poetry in motion wherein a story was depicted through gestures and movements.The eminent performers were felicitated by the chief guest and the facilitator Secondary Wing -Ms Ritu Sehgal. Ms Divya Varshney proposed a vote of thanks. In an interview with the Odissi Maestro, she said that it’s is a new learning for her and she cannot imagine her life without dance.

Paridarshika 2018, the eighth inter-school photography salon had a successful takeoff on August 20, 2018 at Delhi Public School Ghaziabad Vasundhara. To celebrate World Photography Day, Paridarshika was launched on August 19, 2011, with an aim to groom the photography enthusiasts, mentor them on how to participate in a photography salon and sensitise them about the importance of the day by remembering the valuable contribution of French artist and chemist Louis Daguerre, the inventor of photography. The Chief Guest for this prestigious event was Mr. Avinash Pasricha, a groundbreaking figure in the Photography Industry, who, with innumerable commendations and prestigious awards to his credit, has immortalised the art of visual communication and photography. In his interactive session with the young participants, he asserted that “photography is an art of observation … about finding something interesting in an ordinary place” and that there is a vast difference between “taking a picture and making a photograph”. Mr. Pasricha not only appreciated the creativity, dedication, passion and endeavour of the young participants but also gave them handy tips on how to improvise their photography techniques by focusing on the creative aspect of the photograph. For a two-round competition in 6 categories, the event witnessed a tough competition within the 13 participating schools that qualified for the final round. Kartikey Grover of SR DAV Public School, was adjudged the winner of the event while Madhav Goel of Modern School, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi bagged the runner-up trophy. Certificates of Commendation and the Best Photographer Award were also given in each of the 6 categories, namely, Nature, Macro, 

Still Life / Table-top, Candid, Travel and Portrait. In her address, the school Principal, Dr. Jaishree Bhargava, asserted that each photograph displayed in the competition was worth a thousand words. She appreciated the commendable efforts of the talented participants and wished them luck for their future rendezvous with the camera.

Paridarshika-Memory Down the Lane

72nd Independence Day 
The school hosted a gala affair on 72 nd Independence Day 2018. The day dawned with an air of patriotism, where with the beating of the drums, Principal Ma’am matched her footsteps escorted by the School Head Boy & Head Girl to the DPSGV grounds. The Head girl not only resolved to make a promise to herself, but made the others take a pledge to abide by the simple rules of living a disciplined life. Principal ma’am motivated the youngsters to learn from the past & take up the righteous path and live up to it. 
The students of classes IX-XII collaborated well to put up an Inter-house Choreography competition, wherein they picked up themes depicting incidents of our glorious years of struggle for Independence. Their creative amalgamation of theatre and the finesse of choreography brought out the true character of being an Indian and left the audience in silence to reflect on the cost that we had to pay and a feeling of responsibility.

Inter School Peace Assembly - CNDP
Delhi Public School Ghaziabad Vasundhara conducted an Inter School Peace Assembly in collaboration with ‘Coalition of Nuclear Disarmament and Peace’. The main theme of assembly was to promote Peace and sensitise children about the most unfortunate incidents that have happened in the past. Various schools participated in the event. The students through the wall murals have tried to spread the message of peace which not only accentuates their thoughts but also showcases their talent. The Chief Guest of the day was the senior journalist and columnist of leading newspapers, famous author and the founding active member of CNDP Mr Achin Vanaik. He presented his s views on peace and emphasized upon understanding the true meaning of good will and co-operation. Dr. Jaishree Bhargava, Principal DPSGV, appreciated the efforts of various schools and highlighted upon the fact that peace is not something which comes from outside. Rather, it’s a state of our healthy and tolerant mind. The assembly was a great way to motivate students to contribute their little yet inspiring efforts towards maintaining peace within.

4th October Delhi Public School Ghaziabad Vasundhara hosted Paridarshika 2017, the 7th Inter School Photography Competition on 4th October, 2017. The Chief Guest Mr Tirtha Das Gupta, ace photographer, adjudged the photographs on the basis of creative thinking,content, composition, lighting and image quality. The students from various schools participated in the competition and showcased their photography skills in a spectacular way. The Chief Guest not only appreciated the creativity, dedication, passion and endeavor of the young participants but also gave them handy tips on how to improvise their photography techniques.The School Principal, Dr Jaishree Bhargava also lauded the efforts of the talented participants and motivated them to explore in the field further. Shubh Mehta from Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan bagged the first position and Shubh Mathur from the host school secured second position in the contest. In different Categories Shubh Mathur of DPSGV got best in Macro Category, Dhruv Raj Kashyap of Amity International got best in Nature & Still life / Product Category, Shrey Goyal of DPSGV got best in Travel Category & Shaswat Yadava of Amity International got best in Portrait Category.
