If there has been any success in my life, that was built on the unshakable foundation of failure - a famous quote of the great scientist of India, Sir Jagdish Chandra Bose summed up the mood of the day while Class 4-lotus presented today’s morning assembly with the theme of National technology Day and Mother’s Day.
The children confidently pulled up the show which included PowerPoint presentations on the National technology Day(why, when and how it is celebrated ) and on the leading scientists of India.
The spell bound audience applauded the proceedings while thoroughly enjoying the videos on the contributions of India to the world and the Mother’s Day.
The show concluded with a mesmerizing dance performance by the students of the class.
Principal sir also applauded the efforts of the students and inspired the audience to do well and excel in whatever field they choose .

Sparkle and Shine, WASH YOUR HANDS everytime.
Keeping hands clean is one of the most important step we can take to avoid getting sick and spreading germs.Today classes 2 - 3 had a combined session on "Technique of Washing hands". Students learnt the importance of frequent hand washing specially after using the toilet, before and after eating food, after playing and coming back from school, after touching an animal including family pet etc. 
Creating an awareness towards the importance of washing hands will reduce absenteeism in school due to diarrhea, illness, respiratory illness, gastrointestinal illness and eye infections.

The students of classes 4 and 5 had their first activity of this session i,e Story board decor.There was a vibrant display of colours and fictional characters on the class boards based on stories of Alladin, Pinocchio, Lion King, Alice in the Wonderland, Wizard of Oz, Akbar and Birbal, Story of Kalam, the Pied Piper of Hamlin and The Jungle Book.

“Mother Earth is the culmination of multiple and diverse energies, which is brought together to create a rich aesthetic experience with a message of harmony and co-existence”. A special assembly on Earth Day by classes 2 and 3 was conducted on 26th April to demonstrate the support and concern for Environmental protection. It was a great day to showcase environmental education, highlight efforts to green the school and engage the whole student community in making a difference. The students presented a song on taking care of mother Earth, spoke about the fact that “All creatures are deserving of a life free from fear and pain.” A Nukkad Natak, a well choreographed dance and an eye catchy fashion fiesta was also presented on the same theme. A conservation pledge was undertaken by all students to be respectful and compassionate towards all living things.

Principal Mr. Trilok Singh Bist graced the occasion and appreciated the efforts of the children as well as the teachers in making the programme a grand success.

Happiness is not something you postpone for future; It is something you design for the present.Happiness doesn’t happen by getting what you want; happiness begins with being grateful for all you have.
Class-3 Jasmine and Lotus conducted their morning Assembly that was based on the topic “Happiness”.The content was apt and crisp and students presented a role play on the topic “I want to become happy when I grow up”followed by a mesmerizing dance performance on “We are Happy Kids”.A video was also shown.All the children of both the classes were well prepared and conveyed the message beautifully that the time to be happy is now, The place to be happy is here.

Today classes 3 Daisy and 5 Tulip had an assembly themed 'International Dance Day'. The students performed a special dance that was a combination of hip hop, ballet, contemporary and free style, after which there was a PPT emphasizing on the importance of Dance Day followed by a video. Class 3 recited a poem titled 'Just dance' after which a choir of both the classes presented a melodious motivational song, finally there was presentation on the benefits of dance through placards. Overall the assembly was informative and interesting.

As an honour to our beautiful planet and to celebrate ‘Earth Day’, classes 2 and 3 of DPSGV organized an Awareness Campaign to spread the awareness about the protection of endangered species .Class 2 students were taken for a nature walk in the school ground to observe birds and insects.The students of class 3 were shown a video of extinct animals followed by a class discussion. The students then visited Vasundhara sector 9 and 11, they collected plastic bags and gifted hand made paper bags to the RWA members. The students also donated an earthen pot to each sector for providing water and food to birds and animals around keeping in mind the increasing temperature in summers.Pamphlets were distributed to the residents of the two sectors highlighting the ways to save the endangered species.
The Campaign was indeed a great success and the students were appreciated for their energetic and thoughtful effort.

Assembly Class 3

It is health that is real wealth. Keeping this in mind class-3 Lotus conducted its Assembly based on the topic “Monsoon and Health”. The students presented a skit on the topic “Healthy Food v/s Junk Food” followed by a beautiful song on “Healthy Eating”. The students also gave valuable tips on how to take care of health in rainy season.

There was an inter house Spell bee competition for classes 4 and 5. Sutlej house bagged the first position while Cauvery house settled for a close second place.
