What a better start to anything than this? It could be a little difficult for you to handle a class with nervous energy hitting the wall. Clear Rules and Consequences

Classroom rules and consequences make a student aware of their behavior. Every student right to learn and enjoy school means your right to teach without any disruption and misbehavior. Any interruption in the class due to misbehavior of any student should be regarded as major consequences by the student.

Define the rule in the class within the first few days. It will help having a better understanding between the students and you. For example, if you are teaching students, and someone has a query, they must raise their hand before they speak. It will maintain a proper decorum in the class.

Add a Dose of Fun, while Teaching Detailed Routine

You know how can you become your students favorite?
Add a dose of fun, during the routine class that you take every day. It is easy to get caught in teaching keeping your main objective in mind – lessons. However, inducing fun during the routine classes is equally important. The secret to classroom management is to leave the students having fun and be able to maintain classroom etiquette and still be able to learn and grow.

Plan an interactive learning class with your students. Have them participate in daily activities related to the lessons that you have chalked out for them. For example, you can share your stories from classroom days, or ask anyone to share their experience. Out of 35-40 minutes period of the class, keep at least 10 minutes making them feel they are also enjoying the session and having a good time.

It is all about keeping your foot in their shoes when taking a class. However, do not forget about your peace of mind too. This is how you will have a cordial and lasting relationship with your students and also manage to maintain student’s behavior.
