Do-It-Yourself Ideas

Use Ice cream sticks

Go for an ice cream time with your children, choose the flavor as your own choices, and keep the ice cream stick to make something beautiful out of it. For example, make a ballerina.

Use ice cream sticks, paper, decorative thread, and cupcake lining papers and then make a ballerina, to use them as a bookmark, or just hang them as a decorative piece.

In the same way, your child can make a fish, or car or anything of your choice and keep them as decorative.

Make Paper faces

We all know how much children love to make faces, and what a fine idea it is to actually help them out make one NOW!

All they have to do is cut, paste, paint and it is done!

Ask them to pick an animal to make a face. For example, take a giraffe, or a cat, mouse or anything else.

Take a disposable plate, color it as per the animal body color, draw eyes, nose, ears, mouth (and horn, depending on the animal they choose) on the paper and paste them, and voila… BEAUTY!!!

Make rockets using straw

Children love everything related space and science. They get to be (why this and why that) about almost everything.

How about you help them fancy about skies and planes?

Use some straws, a thick paper, colors, and glue. Craft a delightful rocket using the tools mentioned here and let them fly high on happiness on something they created.

Bottle art

We always have cola bottles at home. It is about time to use them well.

One of the quickest and easiest among all DIY, bottle art has become every child’s fancy to try. Use a cola bottle and dip them in the base of (any) color. Stamp it on the paper, and there it is. Your child has created a beautiful flower!

Another idea is to use hand and color. Handprint or thumbprint are also alike to bottle art.

All these DIY ideas are easy, and quick and immensely creative. We believe as much as your child will have fun doing them, you will also have some creative enhancement, which will help you bond more with your kids.
