WILL TECHNOLOGY SAVE THIS WORLD OR SABOTAGE IT?

In this world with land and oceans of 510.1 million km square, we are ending and completing our lives within the bars of technology. The prime question is WHY?
I vehemently believe technology will sabotage our world.
This technology which seems to have made our life easier will in fact destroy the very fabric of the society that we have created over a millennia.
Starting with the havoc it has created in the environment, technology quickly becomes obsolete thereby causing our landfills to be filled with the electronic devices we no longer use.
Yes , without skepticism, inventions like aircraft’s, trains , cars etc have made it possible to travel all around the world , but their ever increasing demand has exacerbated the level of carbon emission. Hence it isn’t astonishing that half of the world is melting or actually on fire. Ozone depletion is another proof to this.
Technology has caused a social division, leading to peer pressure between people who can and cannot afford it, who can and cannot match its pace. This mesh entraps youth faster than gnats in cobwebs hence it gets very likely to find them popping out their eyes in front of applications like PUBG , tiktok, blue whale, mine craft . We know the extent that some actually had to be banned.
The AI developments promised better lives for us, but we ended up losing our basic human habits and instincts. We feed all our data in our gadgets through algorithms and give more and more control of our lives to those machines.
Yes technology connects us with people who are miles away but we often take for granted the ones sitting next to us. Many parents are seen providing their little children with gadgets just so that they stay still, while parents do the daily chores.
Technology has lead to problems like cyber bullying, trolling , harassment which traumatizes the individual and ruins one’s mental health.
We also cannot forget about its major contribution in development of weapons of war leading to turning one nation against another.
Despite all this if you still claim that technology will not sabotage us, then you resemble men whom P.G Woodhouse was referring to when he said “ they resemble men who spent the better part of their lives finding a leak in life’s gas pipe with a lighted matchstick “
