Stress During Exams

BY ADMIN PUBLISHED October 29, 2021, UPDATED January 5, 2023

EXAMS………Hearing this word alone can increase the amount of stress in all of us.

Days leading to as well as the duration of the exam can be a difficult time for many of the students.

In this post you will learn to identify some of the symptoms of stress. You will also learn about how to manage stress through some simple techniques. These points will also help you plan your revision schedule better.

Some typical signs that show that you might be overstressed include:

  • feeling depressed
  • irritable
  • more emotional than usual
  • feelings of anxiety
  • lack of motivation,
  • difficulty concentrating
  • difficulty sleeping
  • loss of appetite etc

If you recognise any of these symptoms – or if your friends or family have pointed them out to you –.you need to devise a plan and do something to alleviate the situation.

If you ever start to feel anxious, it’s better to step out into fresh air and take long and deep breaths.

Exercise makes you feel good, so make sure you take at least 15 minute of walk every day.

Planning your reinforcement, setting the time table and prioritising in advance will also help.

Breaking your work into smaller parts will make it much more manageable.

Set yourself two -threes topics for the day and focus on those until you’ve got them.

Take breaks but of course stay away from technology and engage in what makes you happy – whether it’s spending some time with your family, being with nature or simply exploring a hobby.

Lastly believe in yourself, ask for help if required from your parents, family, friends and teachers.

Look after yourself, eat healthy, stay happy

Good luck for your exams
