The Struggle Ends When the Gratitude Begins

“Some people always grumble because roses have thorns; I am thankful that thorns have roses.” ~ Alphonse Karr
We all go through a phase of life when we curse God or our destiny for all the problems we face. But most of us tend to forget to thank God for our joys and pleasures. Is it fair to blame God for only the sorrows but not thank him for the blisses? No.
A wise person once said, “If the only prayer you say in your life is ‘thank you,’ that would suffice.”
Something that we know about everyone we meet, anywhere in the world, is that everyone irrespective of different backgrounds wants to be HAPPY. Gratefulness is one magical wand that can turn everything into enough. Thankfulness is one word that can determine whether our life is either chaos or happy. Buddhists believe that desires are the root causes of all sufferings. They say a person grateful for his or her own world, things, family leads a happy life. Opposite to this, if someone craves for something, he or she is sure to suffer.
Life is so unpredictable. Be grateful for everything it offers. In the end, all that matters is we fall, we rise, we make mistakes, we learn, we’ve all been hurt, we’re all alive, we’re all humans, we’re not perfect, but we all should be thankful. Thankful for existing on this beautiful planet. Thankful for the air that keeps us alive, the water that quenches our thirst and the sun that provides us with the strength to rise even in adversities. We all should be grateful for all the pleasures and even the troubles because without grief, who would have discovered the true beauty of joy?
After all, it is said, “The Struggle Ends When the Gratitude Begins.”
